A bit off topic.

I too have done this on RH 8.0 and it works. However I seam to have something 
in my "dotfiles" that make vnc misbehave. The keyboard mapping is all screwed 
up both when working locally and from remote machines. I see RH is updating 
vncserver now, maybe it will solve my problem.

(I (think) I know the problem has something to do with my dotfiles, because 
if I create a fresh user there is no problem. I also think the problem may be 
related to my LANG not beeing English..
