Make sure that you have write permissions on /tmp directory 
You should have an entry like this in the /etc/exports file

/tmp/swapfiles      192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0(rw,no_root_squash,async)

and the directory swapfiles should exist in /tmp and should be writable
by all (set 777 permissions)
