Jeff, Did you use my .config file when setting up your kernel ?
You can take the .config from the 2.4.19 kernel, and put it in your kernel src directory, and run 'make oldconfig'. That will correctly get the kernel configured the same way as my kernels. Then, you can run 'make xconfig' and adjust any settings that you need.
