I also used Evolution for a time, but I decided all I really need is a fast efficient email client, so I dropped Evolution in favour of Sylpheed. One ximian product I could not do without though is red-carpet, which is a brilliant way of keeping your system up-to-date with all the latest patches and fixes. RedHat has tried to do the same, but they plague you with junk mail and 'surveys' to try and make you pay a subscription. For ximian you just use your local mirror.
