My network has about 10 386's with 8MB RAM running Netware/DOS configuration.I would like to give them a minimalist X interface like icewm? to get them on line on email and some browsing capabilities at least. Right now I am able to provide text only email to them using Pegasus/Mercury combination (www.pmail.com) but involves a hop from internet to linux to netware and back for outside world emails. We also have some 486's that I am able to get into X but only with -allowMouseOpenFail option as the XF86_VGA server probe is some how not able to detect mouse. Keyboard commands are a pain to teach and defeat the very purpose of a GUI. I am replying on the list as I think there would be some more people who may be interested in this sort of hardware to be run.
