Could be you tracked a bug. However, playing with the PnP-setup in your BIOS could help. Etherboot doesn't use the hardware interrupt of the NIC, but if there is a problem with that interrupt, the kernel could "detect" it. You could try to set that one interrupt as "Reserved for ISA" (if your BIOS supports it). Have a look.
