Do I understand correctly that you want to run a program on a "text
console" of the clients, in addition to the graphics console?
Yes, it is possible, though a piece of handwork is needed.
Look into the server's /opt/ltsp/i386/etc/inittab. The format should
be explained in the manpage for inittab. To have e.g. the program
/opt/ltsp/i386/bin/statuslist be executed on tty4 (Ctrl+Alt+F4 to go
there, IIRC Ctrl+Alt+F9 to return to X screen), add this line:

4:5:respawn:/bin/startsess tty4 /bin/statuslist parameters for statuslist
4 is console, 5 is the runlevel... figure it out yourself.

This is untested, it's a guess that this *could* work ( disclaimer :-)
