You mention that you're using remote sound with KDE and RH9. Any tips on
setting this up? I got it working once, but I had to recompile arts with the
nas libraries, and even then it was unreliable/unstable. How did you go
about setting it up? I could use a few pointers. Also, does the sound work
well with multimedia, like mpeg or flash movies?

Ah, any chance you could share the scripts for doing this? We've been using
KDE and its kiosk framework at our site, and for the most part it's pretty
tight. However, every now and then, something gets tweaked here and there.
Rather than having to figure out what happened with a workstation's settings,
I'd rather just copy in a master, 'pristine' setup.

One last thing -- you mentioned that clients will bring in a CV. What do you
use for removeable media? I've been wrestling with USB floppy drives for a
while now and just can't get them to behave like most people would expect
them. I've tried using enbd, the rmedia package, and the floppyd setup, but
to no avail. floppyd works, but it just doesn't have the same feel as using
a Windows machine (most of our clients are Linux-ignorant). I've never been
able to get ENBD to work right (maybe a short how-to from someone would
help). And the rmedia package feels more like a hack when trying to use it.
Any thoughts on this would appreciated!
