Folks,Sounds way to low, I'd monitor RAM usage, pagging on the server (vmstat/top), the more RAM the faster the server.
I successfully run LTSP in four schools, and attempt to do remote maintenance of these.
I have the following :-
* Wizzy server, 256M RAM, running the following :-

Cheapo stuff, good for workstation/thin clients, but in the server you want a quality NIC, I'd strongly suggest intel eepro or 3com in the server.I have a problem - I hope you can help - unrelated (I think) to the above. Occasionally my wizzy server crashes. I have observed, upon reboot, that it hangs just after bringing up the network interface. [..]
I cannot check the Ethernet card brand now, but it is either an RTL8139 or a Davicom DM9102 (NE2000 clone ??) card.
Absolutly, don't waste your time with this cheapo crappy stuff, get a high quality NIC.
Is it possible that this card (or its drivers) is crummy, and buying another would improve things ?
