i downloaded the latest macromedia standalone flashplayer and it worked for me... that is, when i was not running esd locally. haven't gotten macromedia flash (with sound) working though, with the setup that i have right now (esd as a local app). but i think this is possible too. will start working on this again before the week ends, so i'll send you an email as soon as i have it running again.
