I have had to connect a linux box (LTSP server) to a Novell server.
IT HAS BEEN A COMPLETE PAIN IN THE A***.
To be fair, it was a very old Novell, 4.x??? I remember there is
Novell and ipx support in the kernel, so you should compile it in.
Probably the ncp-file system or so has to be in.
I don't know how to auth against novel, probably our old server didn't
have that function. However, we decided to move away from Novell in
the long term (now it's still used by the ltsp-alternative, Win3.11,
that's local on the clients) and make a samba sahre out of it.
If you find out more yourself, please tell me. Would be interesting.

www.tldp.org should be a good start, the "IPX-Howto" could help!?
