would it be possible to use the thinclient as a sort of a multimedia box, i
explain. i've got a friend who runs an hotel with educational facilities ( i
didn't find the english term ). he would like to install a computer (
thinclient ) in every room, which must be able to play mpeg files, music cd's
, surf on the web, do some office stuff, etc.
in my previous ltsp project, i used these epia-m motherboards, which are well
equiped for multimedia-stuff ( mpeg decoder, sound on board, etc ). i could
set up an ltsp-server and equip every room with an epiam box, with speakers,
cd-reader, etc.
maybe this is overkill for thinclients ?
anybody got some experience in this domain ?
jef
