Since somone else was mentioning a shool-centered German distro, there 
has been for some time now a German branch of Skolelinux (based on 
Debian Woody) which of course uses LTSP for thin client support. You 
can have as many LTSP servers as you want using the out-of-the box 
architecture. Further info should be at http://www.skolelinux.de/
