I am using RH7.3 and running thin clients from this using D-Link 16 port 100/10 switch. Three of my clients were running perfectly using NE2000 ISA cards thanks to excellent documentation on LTSP site on configuring DHCPD with option 128/129. Last week we added another switch from D-Link with 24 ports to accommodate growing network. Some of the machines were shifted to this new switch. All of sudden the three machines using ISA cards could not boot off the server and would get struck doing pivot_root. Strangely when I move the cables of these machines back to 16 port switch they work fine. No other machine (mostly using RTL8139 PCI cards) has this problem from either of the switches. The documentation with the switch states that the switch is fully compatible for backing down to 10mbps with auto-sensing, just like its 16 port cousin. Why this happens? I am intrigued. -- Sudev Barar <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
