Hi!
If you're running an old version of XFree86, the cirus Logic
driver/module have a bug. You should update XFree86 to 4.3.x i think..
I got the same problem on 3 old compaq boxes myself..
I got some pc's with s3 cards, some of them are buggy with s3 driver,
but when i use the vesa driver, it works fine.. You can try xserver =
vesa in lts.conf, it didn't work for me tho..

Hello Guys,
I need help for configuring my dispay card.
My server is A7n266 VM / athlon 1700+ / 128MB DDR ram /
agp card is RIVA TNT2 32MB . Resolution 800 x 600 on an IBM
color monitor.
One of the client is a P75 , monochrome VGA monitor, Cirus Logic GD5446
PCI display card.
The client is not able to start the xserver. It works at runlevel 3.
What changes shall I make in the lts.conf file?
How do you handle a monochrome VGA monitor?
