here is an old problem i never succeed to solve!
everything is OK with my LTSP install, except the NFS mounting of /home directory
from the LTSP/NFS server (it is the same)
i have this problem below at boot time when mounting the /home directory
from NFS server
"NFS warning: mount version newer than kernel"
"mount program didn't pass remote address"
"mouting 138.125.2.104:/home on /home failed : Invalid argument"
when the client PC is booting, it mounts without problem the / file system
from the LTSP server (/opt/i386/lts)
$ df
Filesystem 1k-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
rootfs 5036320 386928 4393560 8% /
/dev/root 2457 2112 345 86% /oldroot
138.125.2.104:/opt/ltsp/i386 5036320 386928 4393560 8% /
BUT..........
it nevers succeed to mount the /home directory from the NFS server
(which is the same PC thant the LTSP server... so exportfs rights are
ok)
$ exportfs
/opt/ltsp/i386 *.mydomain.univ-mrs.fr
/home *.mydomain.univ-mrs.fr
the error message at boot time is:
NFS warning: mount version newer than kernel
mount program didn't pass remote address
mouting 138.125.2.104:/home on /home failed : Invalid argument
please anymody can help me to solve this problem?
i really have to mount /home directories in order to user local_apps
