Hi, I've got some thin clients which appear to look identical to the Jammin 125 from disklessworkstations.com but are sold by Acute Tech (acutetech.com). They are WinCE devices that boot from Diskonchip. I would like to convert the boxes to etherboot to an LTSP server but am having difficulties getting my own DOC 2000 recognized. Here's what I've done so far:
1. Created a custom Grub bootloader (stage1 and 2) image that can etherboot from DOC 2. Loaded Grub image onto DOC with M-Sys DFORMAT utility 3. Created a single partition with fdisk, made an ext2 fs and created the /boot/grub directory structure. 4. Copied menu.lst and the LILO boot ROM image (from romomatic.org) to /boot/grub. You can get details on steps 1-3 and part of 4 at http://lakeshoremicro.com/diskonchip-grub-howto.html. When the DOC is programmed as above, I can get it to etherboot from M-SYS' own DOC reader on a P3 system and from another thin client very similar to the Jammin 150. However, it doesn't work on the Jammin 125-like thin client. The system prints the following message and then halts. DoC 2000 D800 7398 I'm hoping that it has something to do with the DFORMAT switches but really don't have a clue as to what to do next. I hope some of the embedded folks have some ideas on how to proceed. Thanks for any advice, Stephen ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
