1.) i have set up ltsp system with 5 clients now i want the clients to
only access modzilla and open office how do i prenvent the other
applications from being visible and accessible to the clients.

2.) i whould also like it if you fine folks could help me with script
to create users. i am using red hat 9.0

I know there is something really cool about IceWM, and how it only shows menu choices for applications that the current user has access to (through permissions) - and I also remember someone talking about using it for just this very purpose. In fact, I think that persons was supposed to send a detailed How-To about it, but something happened and they never did - either that or I missed it.

Maybe that person is still on here? Anyway, if you want a clean, very lightweight way to accomplish this (KDE, even in Kiosk mode, is much more bloated), I would look into IceWM if I were you.
