Hi! I have 20 Compaq Deskpro 4000 PCs and want to use them as LTSP Terminals. They have an on-board NIC called "Netelligent 10/100 embedded UTP Controller"
The machines tries to boot from network: "Intel LAN Desk Service Agent 0.99" "BOOTP..." but on the server-side I don't receive any data-package, only errors ifconfig shows me: RX packets:0 errors:3 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:3 is there a way to get PXE or etherboot running on this machines without adding additional Hardware ? The Server is ok & tested, it works with the Compaq Deskpro 4000 as Clients when I install an Etherboot-NIC into the Client. BTW: I hate the fact that this machines have no built-in BIOS-Menu. If you want to change settings, you have to add a floppy or harddisk :-( Greetings, Martin Herweg ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
