I have encountered this my self. Never did figure out what was doing it. I would guess it is some wherein the mozilla settings as I have never seen another app do this.

Mozilla has good support for flash. You can set up the clients to run Local-app mode. In this mode they run the apps on the client machine not the server. Speaking of Mozilla, when I'm using my laptop and I ssh into my other
machine with X Forwarding and run mozilla the it runs on the laptop if I
already have mozilla running there, otherwise it runs on the other
machine. That's something I might want control over in an LSTP environment. Any experience with that?
