Hi, I have done everything according to the Gray Screen troubleshooting document and I am still stuck. Everything fits according to the document except I still don't get the login screen.
The only anomality I noticed is that when I run netstat -anp | grep ":177" I get the following udp 2964 0 0.0.0.0:177 0.0.0.0:* 1723/xdm Notice the Recv-Q column, it rises constantly after I start the workstation, seems like xdm is not reading it's buffer. No logs that ring any bells in /var/log/messages or /var/log/xdm.log. Any ideas? Maybe I should install kdm instead of using xdm but I really wanted to keep this machine as close to vanilla as possible.
