Andy,

Currently, it's a mixed bag. On one hand, it's great to not have the Ethernet
cable limiting mobility. OTOH, I'm experiencing 5 to 10 second pauses every
so often (quite frequently) which are rather annoying. During the pauses,
mouse clicks and key presses register but I don't get a response until after
the pause. I haven't really tried diagnosing the problem, and I don't think
any wireless monitoring tools will work as all programs run on the LTSP
server, not the client. If anyone has ideas on this, I'd be glad to hear
them.

Aside from the pauses, LTSP over a wireless connection feels great. It's quite
responsive and it doesn't really feel different from working on my LTSP
server, which is a dual Pentium Pro workstation. Of course, with slow CPUs on
the server, things don't exactly fly even when working locally. I haven't yet
tried video or audio on the LTSP client to find out how quickly the
connection gets saturated. I want to try that next.

One additional thing, booting up wirelessly takes considerably longer than
even 10 Mbps Ethernet. I haven't timed it, but I'll guess it takes about 2
minutes to get to the X login screen.

Cheers,
Dave
