Now my problem is i have given order to make a boot-rom for my network card (D-link dfe-538tx Rev.E1 ) to my vendor, but my vendor is asking the checksum for my network card, so i just want to know from where i will get the checksum for my card, plz tell me its very urgent. He says that the checksum is like a number by giving which i can get the boot-rom for the card
I think someone mixes up something here.
Probably your vendor needs the PCI ID (which you can retrieve with the linux utility "lspci", for example).
I think it is 0x1186; 0x1300, but you should coutnercheck that.
You could point him to rom-o-matic.net where he probably can just download a rom image for the dfe-538,
I suggest using version 5.2.2.
