While the current version of kbd seems to be able

If you're feeling lucky enough, try installing
the latest xfree86. Here's the doc:

(Just in case: to work on the terminals, the new
xfree86 must be installed into /opt/ltsp tree as
well. And you'll probably have to adjust rc.setupx,
too.)

This applet doesn't play nice with xkb. Looks like
they're both trying to intercept key codes at the
same point. And IMHO, it sucks anyway.

So, you can *either* use the XF86Config keyboard
settings *or* this applet. Surely, using the
native xfree86's features is The Right Way.

Server side or terminals? In theory, terminals should
still work fine.
