it's very non trivial (LTSP-3) but why would you want client security?
Anyone can download the complete ltsp image
Disk is read-only, it cannot be hacked

There ARE reasons, but 'good' or 'better' security is not one of them.
The worst someone can do is make your client not work. Boring!

LTSP needs to be used in a trusted environment.
