Hi!

We are in the planning phase for implementing LTSP on 3 schools. We will
be using sponsored second-hand laptops for clients, and they will be
accessing the LTSP server through a wireless network. These days the best
standard for WLAN is 802.11g (54 MBit) - and here's is the problem. The
existing wireless_ltsp bootfloppy image from the LTSP Download page only
supports some of the most common 802.11b (11 MBit) PCMCIA Cards. I have
found a Proxim Orinoco 8470 Gold 802.11b/g card, which is based on the
Atheros chip - linux drivers for this card are developed by the madwifi
project.

Can anyone tell me how to build a kernel and make a boot floppy from it
with the same capabilities as the wireless_ltsp disk, but with support for
another PC-card like the Orinoco-card?
