This may be useful to find the issue: 1) Throw an old isa card in the client and get it working. Be sure to do the option 128/129 stuff. 2) Change the option 129 to sis900 that should tell linux to use that driver. If Linux boots correctly in this manner there is likely an issue in Etherboot.
