Is it possible to have the a LTSP setup, that runs in a similar fashionThat would be just a FAT client. Load your favorite Linux distro on the client and NFS mount a common server to store common accesed information.
to the knoppix terminal server? That is, the clients run as fat clients,
and do all thier own proccessing, and load what is neccessary from the
server?
With LTSP, you can still use a thin client approach and have each workstation run it's local applications. The benefit in this approach is reducing server load, but, maintain the administration and configuration ease of a centralized solution.
