Can someone quickly list off say 6 ethernet cards that they know work without any trouble with the ltsp-pxe enabled kernels. Can you list them in your order of preference, and maybe mention any issues with any of them? Perhaps the chip sets too if you know them.
Realtek offers PXE ROM content to be downloaded from their webpage. I did not try this, but buying the NIC for 3,90 EUR and getting the code (which, look at wiki.etherboot.org, can be integrated into AMI BIOSen and probably AWARD to) for free seems to be at least a cost argument. Though you possibly aren't under too hard financial pressure, others might, so I decided to mention this.
In case someone wants too try, get the "DOS/PXE ROM Code" driver for RTL8139 from realtek.com.tw, take the RTSPXE_M.LOM file and integrate it as module into your system BIOS.
I personally prefer Etherboot anyway :-)

Anselm
