Hi,
I'm tring LTSP, I've got an host running debian sid.
On the client I've got very small characters... on the server they are ok. Someone suggest me it was a fonts problem and to install X Font Server to make thoose characters available on the terminals.
Now I've installed XFS, someone can suggest me a document to find a way to solve this situation?

At least you need to start XFS using /etc/init.d/xfs start and make sure that your lts.conf contains USE_XFS = Y (it is set to N by default). Then restart the thin client(s) and check if this helped. If your problem is limited to the browser, that can usually be tweaked in the application, though the exact method varies from browser to browser.

life is a reach. then you gybe.

I've checked, xfs is started I see it in the process lists. I've execute #netstat -ap | grep xfs and I got this:
tcp 0 0 *:font-service *:* LISTEN 255/xfs
tcp 0 0 192.168.1.:font-service star01:1024 ESTABLISHED255/xfs
unix 2 [ ACC ] STREAM LISTENING 575 255/xfs / tmp/.font-unix/fs7100
unix 3 [ ] STREAM CONNECTED 699 255/xfs / tmp/.font-unix/fs7100
unix 2 [ ] DGRAM 643 255/xfs

The host is 192.168.1.1 the first client I'm testing called star01 is 192.168.1.2
In the lts.conf USE_XFS is setted to Y.

Unfortunatly the problem is not just in the browser, it's in a lot of applications: OpenOffice menus, GIMP menus, Evolution... Even in gdm menu characters, and login input box.

Thanks,
Enrico
