Dear All,

I need your help with getting my customized kernel to boot!!

I used the HOW TO on configuring ones's own 'custom bootup logo' from the LTSP
contrib area to compile my own kernel. See
http://www.brainlessinc.com/linux/custom_logo.html
Let my give some backgroud on my environment for my LTSP setup. I have a
Pentium 4 (1.8 GHz) with Redhat Linux 9.0 installed, the ltsp packages
installed, are  for LTSP 3:
ltsp_core-3.0.9
ltsp_kernel-3.0.12
ltsp_x_core-3.0.4
ltsp_x_fonts-3.0.0
Booting of the the kernel images - vmlinuz-2.4.19-ltsp-1 are fine, except for
my customised kernel image named - vmlinux-2.4.18-ltsp.

Here is an example of my dhcpd.conf file:

{
host ws001 {
    hardware ethernet    00:10:5A:A9:EA:41;
    fixed-address            192.168.0.1;
    filename                    "/lts/vmlinux-2.4.18-ltsp";
}

When I boot the workstaion I get the following error message: ( Output from
workstation screen)

..Me: 192.168.0.1, Server: 192.168.0.254, Gateway 192.168.0.254
Loading 192.168.0.254:/lts/vmlinux-2.4.18-ltsp ...(ELF)... segment does not
fit in any memory region
Unable to load file.
<sleep>

This is the output of the command:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] lts] $ file vmlinux-2.4.18-ltsp
vmlinux-2.4.18-ltsp: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV),
statically linked, not stripped
[EMAIL PROTECTED]  lts] $

Thanks for your help.

Regards
Rudolf
