I have a k12-ltsp ver 4.0 install and was running into some problems maybe you guys have dealt with , so here they are:
-OpenOffice is very slow to open 4min + the pc s are a mix of 10meg and 100meg Ethernet so that doesn't seem to be the issue and the link from the "lab" to the host k12-ltsp is 100megfdx. is there any way to speed it up? -also I have mozilla and netscape installed and everything works fine except that some of the pages that are browsed frequently and made up of invalid html, is there a more slack browser available (lie IE...) for linux -as well the netscape and mozilla browsers require profiles to be set up can I disable this or force them to auto configure with login name -I also need upon login to run a login script , where would I put this for the default gnome icewm ? .login doesn't seem to cut it , I want to automount a smb share for them as they login (the smb share matches there username) sorry for the dumb questions and tia RobM ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now.
