I have been having this same problem. I posted to the list a number of
weeks ago, but didn't get any responses. So far the only way I have
been able to get around this problem is to setup a local shell on ttyv1
then ctrl-alt-F2 and `rm /tmp/-+dev-+floppy-+0'. I have been doing some
research on (E)NBD and it looks as if they are getting things wrapped up
as far as support for removable media. I'm in the process of getting
ENBD up and running. floppyd and mtoolsfm work, but leave much to be
desired - notwithstanding the buggyness. I'll report back to the list
about my experiences with ENBD. Is anyone else using ENBD with success
right now?
