I have a problem with configuring my LTSP-client, so that it actually USES the swap-space I define in lts.conf.

This is my lts.conf:

[Default]
       SERVER             = 192.168.1.254

[alfa]
       USE_NFS_SWAP       = Y
       SWAPFILE_SIZE      = 48m
       XSERVER            = XF86_SVGA
       USE_XFS            = N
       SCREEN_01          = startx
       SCREEN_02          = shell
       XF86CONFIG_FILE    = XF86Config.alfa

.. and it loads the swap during the startup on the client, with priority -1 (what does that mean btw?)

But when the client has started, it is still just as slow as before, and if I go into the shell on SCREEN_02 and write "top", I am told that it uses 20000k of 21000k RAM. Just under that line, it tells me that I have 49148k total swap - and 0k in use!

What is wrong? Why can't it just use the swap-space I've given to it?

Best regards, Sren Haagerup
