i've got ltsp 4 installed on a server, one thin-client connected. Once in a
while, the nework doesn't seen to respond, and eventually hangs. i recently
noticed overruns on the network interface connected to the switch ( nway 24
ports ). it looks like this
eth1 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:04:75:E7:C4:24
inet addr:10.0.0.1 Bcast:10.0.0.255 Mask:255.255.255.0
inet6 addr: fe80::204:75ff:fee7:c424/64 Scope:Link
UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
RX packets:10499668 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:138 frame:0
TX packets:13315007 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
collisions:0 txqueuelen:100
RX bytes:1083086039 (1032.9 Mb) TX bytes:2561599999 (2442.9 Mb)
Interrupt:16 Base address:0xd000
What worries me also is the high numbers of RX and TX bytes. This machine
wasn't up a complete day. Isn't this not too much ? I've only 1 client
connected. There are supposed to be 15 clients and more .
the nic on eth1 is a 3com 3c905. The thinclient connected has a via-rhine
nic.
