I have LTSP-4.0 installed on Slackware 9.1. When I boot the workstation it hangs right after the KDM login box comes up. The workstation is completely hung, I'm not able to use the mouse or keyboard and I can't ping the workstation. The X server by itself seems to work, because if I shutdown KDM on the server and then connect from the workstation I get the grey screen with large X cursor and the mouse works.
Since X will run on the client what is KDM doing to make the workstation hang? Is there any other way to start a kde session on the workstation without using KDM? ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
