nVidia's driver is "nv", but with no acceleration support. I think there is an HOWTO somewhere on how to get it working with nVidia's official drivers. You will probably have to install them on the LTSP kernel, so this may not be so simple to explain. Try the howto.
That "nv" driver will almost certainly work, but I don't understand why the chips don't get detected. It also happened to me.

Try putting this line in your lts.conf file
XSERVER = vesa
That module will probally work, but there may be a better one for your video card, but I don't know which module was specifically written for your card.
