Hi Joshua:
Firstly, I'll told you that I'm quite new to LTSP world. But I already know
that you can configure a local printer or a local floppy drive easily in your
terminals - there's an option in lts.conf.
I've already configured local cdrom access, which needed a bit of work.
Basically, I mount the drives with ssh and lufs, which is like NFS but it lets
me stream the files so I can use them without having finished to download
them. Anyway, I think the best way to have transparent access to terminal's
devices is to run the app needed (p.e. kooka, xsane for scanners) via local
apps.
If you want to know, there is a script that automatically copy the app
specifed to the terminal's root (/opt/ltsp/i386) with all the dependences
needed, but I'm still wondering where is it :).
