It works fine, that's how we've got it set up.  You can search the archives
under my name to see an earlier discussion on the same subject last year.
It will apparently fail, with the linux client claiming it cannot find the
NFSROOT, due to a bug in the Win2000 DHCP implementation that suffixes the
string you specify with a null character.  That null character becomes a
zero (three of them, as I recall) on the end of your string.  The lazy
workaround is to create a softlink of some kind on the LTSP server so that
the incorrect NFSROOT string still ends up getting to the correct place.
