Thanks Prodzinski, Jeffrey P
It worked though I fail to understand why in the first
place it should interfere with the xserver of the server.

Thanks again

Well.. On my server I choose not to run X automagically on system start.
To disable it I do the following:

_____________________________________________________________________
Configure server to boot to a prompt while remote clients still get X.

-->  Edit /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers
--> Comment out the line below as shown
-->
-->  #:0 local /usr/X11R6/bin/X

** X can still be started after login with startx

Sooo.. Be sure that line is not commented (no # in front of it)

Hope this helps

Subject: [Ltsp-discuss] ltsp4 & server kdm login screen

Hello,
       My ltsp4 server is on Mandrake 10 CE.
After installing and configuring ltsp4 my KDM login screen
on the server has gone. I have only the text login.
The clients are getting correct KDM login screen.
Any idea why ? What can I do to restore the KDM login
screen ?
The same problem occured while installing ltsp 4 on two
different systems . Why ?

Thanks

Varun
