Derek;

I don't know much about BIOS modifications, but you can
modify the DOC with an Etherboot image. A different
model from ANT (ST320) uses a similar DOC loaded with
Windoze CE. There's no way to modify the chip while
in the ST320, since Windoze prevents that, but you can
pull the chip and re-write it in a device that supports
the 32-pin Disk-On-Chip from M-Systems. You can download
the utility software to re-write the DOC from:

        http://www.m-sys.com

First: backup the image on the DOC with the "getimage"
command. Then, re-format it with the "mformat" command.
The formatting also loads the DOC with a TrueFFS
filesystem and drivers that can't be publicly distributed,
so you won't see this image posted anywhere.

Once formatted, you can install FreeDOS onto the DOC as
though it were a hard disk. Then, get a DOS executable
8139 Etherboot image from:

        http://rom-o-matic.com

Read the docs and use the alternate memory address for
DOC images. Seems like there is some other parameter
that must be set - can't remember just now.

Anyway, you can test it by booting the device with
FreeDOS and executing the Etherboot image by hand.
When comfortable that it works, replace "command.com"
with the DOS-executable Etherboot image, and wa-la!

Hope this helps,

Tom
