I am trying to make my own INITRD and KERNEL to be used on diskless machines When I make my own INITRD with /bin/sh included and try to boot w/ the kernel provided by the LTSP I get the following error message "Try passing init= option to the kernel"
before that it tells me that ext2 filesystem was mounted and that "devfs was mounted on /dev" What is the problem here... Also when compiling custom kernel to be used with network booting what does the flag --rootdir=/tftpboot/lts/ltsroot Mean in mknbi-linux ? Has anyone else tried what I am trying to do and was successful at it ? Thank for all the help. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
