I regularly do this by using a wireless bridge which is plugged into the
Ethernet port.

Takes about 2 minutes to boot to the login screen, but so what, take the
time to get yourself a cup of coffee.

Works very well, but save yourself hassles by making sure that the
wireless bridge works well with your wireless AP (best way to do this is
buying them both from the same manufacturer)

If you are using a laptop use the wireless Pcmcia package (or whatever
it is called) from the LTSP web site, this boots the kernel with PCMCIA
support from a floppy.

Cheers,

Derek

p.s. make sure you turn on WEP if you don't want to be hacked. Also if
you use MAC address access (only allowing MAC addresses from your
network, the AP will need to allow the MAC address of the wireless
bridge and the MAC address of the computer behind it. If you use a
laptop with a wireless booting from a floppy, you will only need to
allow the MAC address of the PCMCIA card)

Before I hear the usual stories about WEP not being secure, I run
Airsnort on a box here to crack WEP on my own network, I would not worry
too much, just change your keys about once a week. Forget about drive by
hackers, the battery will die long before they crack the keys. (although
your next door neighbour may be a problem, if they don't have a life)
