I noticed in one of the recent messages (phew, this thread gets lengthy :-) you mentioned /etc/exports entries to contain the "async" option. On other places I saw the "sync" option used - which one is supposed to work I cannot tell out of my head. /opt/ltsp/i386 192.168.0.0/255.255.255.128(ro,no_root_squash) is just the line on a (working) LTSP setup I get my fingers on right now, so perhaps that params need a bit of tweaking. I remember in the beginning of my LTSP usage I ran into a similar problem which had to do with which NFS server was going to be used - there's a kernel and a user space based one (or at least was - no idea what came out recently), and we played with en- and disabling NFSv3 support (falling back to v2) - real long time back, so my memory won't tell me which setup then work. I suspect however NFSv3 and kernel-server worked - don't take this reliable. In your place, I'd check what is setup and perhaps compile a new kernel for the server, just to reduce probability some distributor's playing on the kernel sources broke something for you. Fresh & original kernel sources are at www.kernel.org I know I recommend some rather great workload, but as you seem to be running out of ideas.... hth & Best regards, Anselm ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by Sleepycat Software Learn developer strategies Cisco, Motorola, Ericsson & Lucent use to deliver higher performing products faster, at low TCO. http://www.sleepycat.com/telcomwpreg.php?From=osdnemail3 _____________________________________________________________________ Ltsp-discuss mailing list.
