Please refer to the Linux-mtd project: http://www.linux-mtd.infradead.org/ . It should have all the necessary tools to get it up and running. I wouldn't consider this an easy way, but you could try this if you would like to use free software. An alternative would be to obtain necessary software from http://www.m-sys.com , but it is proprietary and TrueFFS closed-source module does not work with recent (2.6.x) series of Linux.
