Hi
I have a working (on other machines) LTSP3 setup.
I bought some IBM machines with a BIOS menu called Network boot --- PXE, the help text saying "this choice looks for a DCHP server and then downloads the boot image".
Sounds great - avoiding the boot diskette etc (The NIC is onboard, with no ROM socket of course)
I set up dhcpd.conf to give the station an IP, this works great. The problem is, straight after the assigned IP is displayed on the client screen, the process stops with
"PXE-E3A: TFTP too many packages"
and then the client gives up, since I have set network boot as the only boot option. After some time it reboots.
anyone got an idea of what this error means? Do I have to make the diskette-boot-trick? Would have been great to avoid that.
sincerely,
