I have spent already 3 weeks trying to make this work,
mostly at home, so far I have not being successful in
top of that in my workplace which is in the
gobvernment of the state of Chihuahua Mexico they
changed the internet provider and now is blocking my
access to sourceforge.net and ltsp.org web site
because it is a microsoft based provider
(t1msn.com.mx), guess the microsoft guys are getting
in my way, guess they fear the Munich sindrome, which
only results in me having a greater determination to
run this. I am already asking a few questions around
here.

I already have a server with ltsp3 on mandrake 9.1
working and is wonderfull it has given me such good
results now I want my second server in slackware 9.1.

the terminal works fine right into the shell but when
I try to switch to X it stops working sometimes it
shows the xdm login screen an even let's me type
something, most of the time I just get a blank screen,
but then it locks up after a certain amount of time,
this is the content of my xdm.log file :

xdm error (pid 1173): server open failed for ws002:0,
giving up
xdm error (pid 1171): Display ws002:0 cannot be opened
xdm error (pid 1174): server open failed for ws001:0,
giving up
xdm error (pid 1171): Display ws001:0 cannot be opened

right now I am compiling a new kernel with minimum
options so that I can narrow down the possible
failures, also I am installing a new XFfree 4.3 server
from the patch list in slackware which fixes some
security problems, has anyone here being able to run
this on slackware 9.1? can somebody lend me a hand.
thanx in advance. the network card is integrated in
the motherboard of a COMPAQ EVO P4 intel 2.4Ghz
machine and is an eepro100 .
