I'll add my 2 cents, to increase the overall volume :-)

One problem would be how to differentiate those USB mice and keyboards -
especially when there is _not_ such a blasted motherboard as mine with one
USB bus per user (for up to 5 users at least) - numbering of USB devices on
hubs probably really sucks.
I compare this to the two-user solutions that have been built with LTSP
already - iirc they use PS/2 connectors for one user and USB for the other.
They had some patched X-server for the second user because Linux was
definitively non-multi-head back then - I guess this changed (problem was
that there could be only one active console, and all input events
automagically were directed there - search for "Multihead" in the archives).

I think advancing to newer structures, perhaps embedding them for most simple
usage, probably as modules to the X system or so, would be a nice idea, but I
currently don't have spare time to play with that either :-(
Perhaps with all those interesting and interested people around this would be
worth to be put on the testdrive schedule for LWE off-peak-hours?

Anselm
