Like I said, the video card is pushing the monitor past its limits. You said it yourself, other terminals "having different video cards" work fine. When I say pushing the limits, i'm talking primarily the horzontial and vertical refresh rates. really old monitors would simply burn up when pushed too far. Your monitors are at least telling you that they can't handle it. Check that modelines page, and try playing with some modelines in the lts.conf file, and see what you get.
