Hello:
I want to make my ltsp installation a cluster.
it consists of 7 pentium 200 mhz with 32/mb nodes, and
possibly (if everything works as expected) to include
some 6 pentium 933 mhz more computers to it.
I have followed the advise in the documentation to
make a kernel and also have read the openmosix-ltsp
how-to.
I have compiled the kernel for the server (which is a
pentium IV 2.4 Ghz 1 Gb RAM).
I had one problem when booting one node (without mosix
turned on yet), that said "invalid argument" right
after loading the kernel from the server, I solved
that using version 1.0 of mknbi.
Than it gave me problems after loading the kernel
saying that it could not find out what type of
ethernet card i have, but I passed the correct
option-129 option-128 parameters (the client card is a
3c509b 10 mbps).
Than I changed the setup to statically compiled the
network card in the node kernel, but now it says that
it can't mount the vfs on 01 00
what am I doing wrong?.
At this stage I have not started the cluster I am not
using the setpe etc programs my understanding is that
I can first try booting the terminal with the
openmosix kernel without starting the cluster, I will
try to complete the installation and see if this is
the problem. If I boot the terminal with the standard
kernel provided (vmlinuz-2.4-24-ltsp-4) it works fine.
My ltsp installation is ltsp-4.0 My host is mandrake
linux 10.
any help is greatly appreciated.
